so the big day has come and gone. as the other 2 adoptive families that we're travelling with did not send any male representitives i spent 18 hours yesterday (as well as the next 2 1/2 weeks i might add) as the only guy with 5 very chatty hens (their words, not mine). so i'll quote the great Jack Nicholson from As Good As it Gets when responding to the question of how he could have so much insight into the female mind: "I think of a man, and take away all reason and accountability." woohoo!
just had lunch with the big guy down at the coffee shop. he wanted to work on his flirting skills so we spent the time discussing my technique for picking up women: look cute and let them come to you. it's a philosophy that has treated me well (exhibit A: my hot wife) so i think he's in good hands in the chicks dept. we're going to head down to the bar in a little while for happy hour and work on his technique. i think this weekend we're going to go clubbing and do some cougar hunting (ladies 20-24 months-- preferrably potty trained per Morgan).
despite the fact that we brought a bunch of expensive and high tech toys, Morgan's favorites so far are a spoon, the tube of diaper rash cream, and my laptop computer (ok, that one's high tech and expensive but not exactly meant for infants). i really wish someone had mentioned this before our friends and family raided Babys R Us.
anyway, gotta go. i'll leave the informative posts up to Jen so that i can concentrate on ranting.

Morgan...trust me...do not listen to your Daddy about how to pick up chicks...I've seen him in action and it isn't pretty...I don't know how he managed to get with your mommy but she must have taken pity on him and his lame pick up skills.
I'm just sayin...
Morgan,
Take it from a guy who is pretty tight with your Dad and was once his roommate. Ignore everything he says. Uncle Doug will take you to the Inn at Gore Mountain and will REALLY teach you a few things about hunting cougars.
Say hi to the hens for me, Jeremy.
Glad to hear all is well.
I read in the paper today that they have put a halt on all adoptions from Vietnam. Thank God you guys signed the papers and got him in time. Daddy looks very comfortable in his new role.
OMG, you need to be a permanent blog author! I love it.
