GRASS!

Here it is--our own little desert oasis! And, I must show off our Katch-A-Kid pool netting system to protect precious Morgan and Claire Bear from drowning. Pools are no joke when you are the parent of small children.
Morgan loves watering time and enjoys playing in the sprinklers and helping mom keep the herbs growing. You can see our rosemary plant on the right.

Here is nearly a full view of our beautiful little postage stamp sized lawn. Hopefully in 2-3 weeks it won't need as much water and I will be complaining about mowing :)
ps--for those of you who are observant...my son has been scalped. I humored his Nana during his vacation and gave my baby a haircut. As most of you know, I like it long. As most Nanas do...she likes it short. I think he looks like Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber right now...but fortunately it will grow.
I hovered over the stylist and explained Punk ROCK as detailed as I could. I even told her that the hair should slope to the right....longer on one side and still got the "Chili Bowl"
Good thing my little guy is handsome no matter what!

Scalped! Ha! You are too funny. I still think he's just adorable.

Love the new grass. Our yard is postage stamp sized, too, but we don't have a pool. Ed said we have two separate community pools that we pay dearly for, one half a block from our house that is always nearly empty, but Ed didn't take the bathing suit aversion into account. Blah. I want a pool!

Laura,

a community pool sounds much better! you can enjoy it without maintaining it!

Morgan is such a cutie. Your backyard looks like an oasis!
